Seeking a Buyer to join a globally recognized fashion sportswear brand. In this exciting role, you will manage buying strategies for key retail stores across Australia and New Zealand. Reporting to the Buying Director with an Assistant Buyer for support.

Location: Sydney

Salary: $100 - $115k + super

RESPONSIBILITIES +

  • Conduct detailed analysis of weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales data to create effective Sales Plans
  • Oversee budgets and develop financial plans for upcoming seasons
  • Attend brand meetings, appointments, and events to stay informed and engaged
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with brand partners
  • Negotiate confidently with brands to secure favorable terms
  • Collaborate with selected brand partners to brief, develop, and produce exclusive product assortments
  • Stay updated on emerging brands, trends, and opportunities to diversify the department and enhance sales performance
  • Prepare and present product ranges for approval with the General Manager of Buying
  • Execute in-season markdown strategies and manage the future orderbook proactively
  • Lead, mentor, and support the development of Assistant Buyers
  • Achieving the Department's Sales Plan targets
  • Driving year-on-year increases in sales revenue within the department
  • Improving sales density season over season
  • Reducing markdown percentages and aged stock levels compared to previous seasons

REQUIREMENTS +

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with an international brand, preferably in a multi-brand environment
  • Prior experience in womenswear apparel is highly advantageous
  • Proficient in advanced Microsoft Excel functions
  • Valid driver’s license for attending brand appointments and conducting store visits (desirable)
