They are seeking a Senior Merchandise Planner to work alongside the Head of Buying and the inventory team to maximise sales growth, stock efficiency and manage structured reporting. They will also work with the Category Managers to implement a visionary and strategic approach to optimising inventory, increasing margin activity and sales.

RESPONSIBILITIES +
- Create and oversee the seasonal merchandise strategy, assortment, and planning to meet financial targets across all product lines.
- Establish, monitor, and attain key financial goals, including sales, inventory turnover, open-to-buy, sell-through rate, and gross profit margin.
- Examine past performance data to uncover opportunities for boosting sales, profit margins, and inventory turnover.
- Deliver data-driven and trend-based insights to inform seasonal product offerings and promotional campaigns.
- Collaborate with the design team to develop customer-focused seasonal assortment plans, leveraging past performance to make informed purchasing decisions that optimize profitability and product mix, aligning commercial considerations with seasonal design trends.
- Oversee essential merchandise planning activities, including range planning, purchase quantities, delivery schedules, inventory levels, and markdown/discount strategies to optimize profitability and inform seasonal purchasing and marketing initiatives.
- Pinpoint key product lines, assess their performance, and predict future sales.
- Monitor in-season and post-season performance to identify best practices, lessons learned, and opportunities for improvement in pricing strategies, product assortment, and adjustments to maximize category performance.
- Oversee efficient inventory management and replenishment, balancing stock levels between stores and warehouses to capitalize on sales opportunities and minimize supply chain costs.
- Establish a store performance rating system and evaluate store performance, analyze results, and determine optimal inventory levels.
- Manage the product lifecycle for the team, prioritizing data accuracy.
- Identify and implement efficient practices to optimize team productivity and time management.
- Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders across Retail Brand divisions, including Finance, Retail, Product, Marketing, and Digital teams.
REQUIREMENTS +
- Work closely with al departments inside and outside of the merchandise team to manage inventory and maintain optimum stock levels across retail stores, within set KPIs and targets
- Work closely with the Retail operations team in terms of range, volume, and inventory efficiency
- Monitor and ensure that recommended assortment plans and size ratios are refined, revised & maintained
- Work on re-alocation of stock between business channels depending on business needs
- Input and management of pricing and price updates, store markdown management
- Participate in al team and stakeholder meetings where Merchandise Planning needs to be involved
- Drive, test, and implement a new Planning & Alocation Tool
