We have partnered with an incredible Australian-owned business based in Burleigh Heads and we are seeking an experienced General Manager with a strong Marketing background to help drive national and global growth. Founded over 10 years ago, our client has established themselves as a household bridal name, creating beautiful and modern dresses for the everyday bride. Our client owns and operates a network of boutiques across Australia, UK and Europe and has an extensive wholesale customer base across Europe, New Zealand, Canada and the United States. The business has plans to open further boutiques both within Australia and globally.
For this role, we are seeking a General Manager with a strong Marketing Background to join the team. The initial focus will be to evaluate the marketing strategy before adopting the general management duties. Reporting into the Founders/Directors, you will lead the day-to-day business operations while also leading the marketing initiatives for retail, wholesale, and ecommerce channels. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone able to balance hands-on execution and business leadership.
Location: Burleigh Heads, QLD.
Working arrangements: this is an onsite position with parking available.
Salary: dependent on experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES +
Marketing
- Marketing Strategy: Critically assess and evaluate current marketing initiatives, including Meta, Google Ads, and paid search efforts.
- Agency Management: Takeover the relationship with the external marketing agency and evaluate the effectiveness of the partnership to ensure the best results are being achieved.
- Team Assessment: Review the current skillsets within the marketing team, identify gaps, and provide recommendations for team development.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Use your strong analytical skills to review performance metrics, market analysis and make informed recommendations to improve effectiveness.
- Develop and execute brand and marketing strategies that align with business goals and support growth across various sales channels.
- Oversee marketing budgets and allocate resources efficiently to maximise impact including performance marketing, photoshoots and influencer partnerships.
General Management
- Lead daily business operations and ensure smooth execution of day-to-day activities.
- Manage key teams, including Sales, Operations, and Finance, while mentoring the marketing team to foster a positive environment.
- Facilitate regular meetings with key department heads (Sales, Operations, and Finance) to align goals and ensure smooth execution of business strategies.
- Ensure alignment across departments, including retail and wholesale channels, for optimal business performance.
- Ability to manage and support staff while maintaining efficient workflows and operations across departments.
REQUIREMENTS +
- Extensive experience in Senior Marketing and General Management roles with a history of success in driving results.
- Results-driven leader with the ability to build and motivate teams, promoting collaboration across departments.
- Strong analytical abilities, leveraging data to guide strategic decision-making.
- Experience working with international markets, particularly the US and Europe, and the ability to understand each demographic and implement strategy accordingly.
- Hands-on execution expertise combined with a strategic mindset for long-term planning.
- Approachable and flexible with excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience with and a deep understanding of digital advertising platforms and Shopify.
- The ability to travel overseas (2-3 trips per year) to meet and network with international stakeholders.
