Our client is an Australian leader in the licensed merchandise space, with an extensive reach across the country. Key customers including gift and speciality shops, department and chain retailers, supermarkets, stations and more. The wide variety of product on offer allows the company to provide customers with retail and promotional solutions, overseeing the full process from concept to final product.
Our client is now seeking a Business Development Manager to identify new business opportunities, and manage existing relationships, while contributing to the overall business success.

Salary: $120k-$130k + super

RESPONSIBILITIES +
Account Management: Oversee all business-related needs for key accounts, handling everything from pricing to product range development.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Engage with key stakeholders within retailers (buyers, planners, logistics) to ensure smooth operations and strong relationships.
Sales Forecasting & Trend Analysis: Analyse sales data and provide insights to internal teams, aiding in the development of seasonal and everyday product ranges.
Target Achievement & Strategy: Meet sales targets by brand, department, and retailer, while leveraging strong planning and analytical skills.
Market Research & Category Knowledge: Stay informed on retail trends and categories, while managing new business opportunities and potential category expansions.
Communication & Reporting: Provide clear briefs to creative teams, influence stakeholders strategically, and regularly report sales performance to internal teams.
REQUIREMENTS +
Experience: minimum 8 years of work experience, including at least 5 years in Account Management, with specific experience in soft or hardlines merchandise and Licensed Merchandise.
Motivation & Adaptability: Highly motivated, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and flexible with a proactive attitude.
Organisational & Commercial Skills: Strong organisational skills paired with commercial acumen for managing key accounts and business growth.
Independent & Team Collaboration: Ability to work both independently and within a team, balancing multiple tasks effectively.
Analytical & Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical skills with a strong ability to multitask and solve problems efficiently.
Technical Skills: Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint for reporting and presentations.

Negotiation & Leadership: Excellent negotiation capabilities and leadership skills to guide teams and influence decisions.
