What is the history & mission of Dress for Success?
Dress for Success is a global not-for-profit organisation that started in 1997.
It has expanded to 150 cities in 25 countries - in Australia they are celebrating 16 years of operation this year!
Every year, Dress for Success Australian affiliates support more than 5,000 women into employment across the country. Powered by volunteers, their services are offered at no cost to the women who need them. They offer long-lasting solutions that empower women into employment to achieve independence.
How is Dress for Success celebrating International Women’s Day?
Their services are in more demand than ever before. Women bear the brunt of the cost of living and housing crises, and the number of women facing hardship is increasing rapidly.
The UN International Women's Day theme this year is “Accelerate Action”. We are asking everyone to support our cause today and count her into meaningful employment, a livable wage, and a brighter future.
