Our client is an Australian born, and internationally known, streetwear & lifestyle brand. Founded nearly 20 years ago, our client has made a name for themselves in the urban and trendy clothing industry. Offering a mix of exclusive collaborations, limited-edition releases, and selling popular global brands, our client offers a unique shopping experience with interactive store designs, featuring live DJs, customisations and immersive environments. 

After an exciting year our client is now seeking a Head of Retail to join on a full-time basis. Reporting into the Brand President and CEO, you will manage all elements of the retail side of the business, including strategy, performance, staffing, customer service and more.

Salary: $175k + super

RESPONSIBILITIES +

  • Staff Management and Development: Hire, train, and supervise staff, offering coaching and fostering teamwork to improve skills and communication.
  • Performance and Operational Oversight: Monitor store performance, sales data, and visual merchandising standards while managing inventory and optimizing logistics.
  • Financial Management: Manage store budgets, analyze financial performance, and identify opportunities for cost reduction and revenue growth.
  • Customer Service and Compliance: Ensure exceptional customer service, address complaints, and ensure adherence to legal and company policies, including loss prevention.
  • Strategy and Risk Management: Develop strategic plans to boost sales and brand presence, while managing health, safety, and risk compliance across all locations.

REQUIREMENTS +

  • Retail Experience: Prior roles in store, regional, or district management provide a strong foundation for a national retail leadership position, with a deep understanding of retail operations, customer behavior, and industry trends.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership, team management, and decision-making abilities are essential for overseeing multiple stores, driving sales, and ensuring excellent customer service.
  • Strategic and Analytical Thinking: Ability to develop business plans, set goals, and analyze retail data to identify opportunities, adapt to consumer trends, and optimize operations.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Effective communication with stakeholders at all levels, including teams, departments, and executives, is crucial for clear goal-setting and strategy execution.
  • Adaptability and Innovation: Must remain flexible in response to market changes, new technologies, and evolving consumer preferences, while embracing innovation to adjust strategies.
