A leading contemporary womenswear brand is seeking a visionary Designer/Product Developer to join their team during an exciting and transformative phase. Renowned for its elevated aesthetic and dedication to refined craftsmanship, the brand specializes in sophisticated, modern silhouettes that embody understated elegance across ready-to-wear and resort wear collections.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Designer/Product Developer will be responsible for creating and developing seasonal collections, ensuring commercial viability and alignment with margin targets. Duties include trend research, mood conception, range direction, and sourcing fabrics, prints, and trims. The role involves managing the sample process, conducting fit sessions, and ensuring quality standards are met by collaborating with garment techs. The designer will also create detailed garment specifications, oversee production timelines, and ensure product adherence to design standards. Additionally, the role requires collaboration with the creative director on campaign shoots, from concept to execution, including coordination with stylists, photographers, and model agencies.

ABOUT YOU

The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of block development, construction techniques, and garment creation from concept to delivery. With at least 5 years of relevant design development experience in the fashion industry, they should have strong skills in Adobe Illustrator and Excel. A deep understanding of the product development process, fabrics, and construction is essential, along with a solid grasp of garment construction. The role requires a clear communicator with advanced problem-solving and analytical abilities.

This role is part-time 4 days per week.
