Our clients brand was started by two young founders in 2012, this ecommerce company has grown into its own. Expanding the well-known brands voice with its exclusive range.
We’re looking for a garment technician to join the product development team as a key part of the company. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about fits, loves working in a team, and strives to get the product looking good on babes of all body sizes.
Responsibilities & Skills
Drive fit sessions, suggest fit solutions based on garment understanding
Work closely with the designers on key changes to achieve the best garment fit results
Send fit notes to suppliers in a set KPI timeframe
Work closely with the rest of the buying and production team members, imparting grading and fit knowledge to allow for making the best product decisions
Communicate fabric, fit and technical issues to the team and flag if these issues will affect the critical path timeline
Liaise with suppliers - via email and wechat
Approve PPS samples sent by suppliers - after cross checking measurements and fit changes
Build and nurture strong relationships with our suppliers and within the internal team
Experience in multiple categories is a plus e.g. swim, lingerie, apparel, active, knitwear
Experience in grading and fitting plus sizes is preferable
Understand & focus on the brands customer and their needs in all areas of execution
Requirements
Someone with strong understanding of garment construction
Must have grading knowledge, familiar with grading rules suitable for different styles and fabrics
A multitasker who is time efficient and can work within deadlines
Someone organised who loves to file and tag to keep things in order
A team player who is effortless to work with
Previous experience as a Garment Technician
Proficient skills to work with excel, google drive
