Founded by the designer, the label focuses on creating high-quality, tailored pieces that appeal to contemporary women. The brand often incorporates sustainable practices, using ethically sourced materials and promoting responsible manufacturing.
The Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in driving strategic and creative initiatives within a collaborative team focused on growth. This position involves providing thought leadership and managing changes to enhance business and operational efficiencies. The Finance Manager will collaborate closely with all departments to facilitate goal achievement through structured analysis and informed decision-making. Responsibilities include overseeing investments and optimizing performance in key areas such as stores, inventory, salaries, and future projects. A strong understanding of the brands’ design-driven values, customer base, and industry trends will be essential for making innovative, value-added decisions.

Salary: $120-$140k + super

RESPONSIBILITIES +
Strategy, Leadership & Team Building
- Lead strategic financial planning to optimize business performance.
- Develop and implement quarterly and annual departmental strategic plans.
- Establish and monitor KPIs to enhance team performance and satisfaction.
- Cultivate financial expertise within the team using tools like Excel and BI systems.
Finance Management
- Enhance business value through process improvements, standardization, and cost optimization.
- Oversee and improve financial systems and ERP procedures.
- Support budget accountability with quarterly planning and monthly reviews.
- Drive financial modeling and analytical reporting to inform decision-making.
Accounting Management
- Coordinate month-end and year-end processes, including bank reconciliations and invoicing.
- Oversee the accounts team, ensuring accuracy in accounts payable, receivable, and payroll.
- Manage financial tax compliance and maintain sustainability certifications.
Reporting & Data Management
- Ensure proper data maintenance and security.
- Analyze data for informed decision-making.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly KPI performance reports.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Financial efficiencies and accurate reporting aligned with critical timelines.
- Seasonal budgets within a 5% variance of forecasts.
- Timely completion of month-end accounts and effective tax outcomes.
- Accurate and up-to-date compliance with financial regulations.
REQUIREMENTS +
- Minimum 5 years experience working in a similar role
- Experience working in a fashion business or a small retail business
- Strong financial analysis and modelling tools skills
- Excellent understanding of critical paths and timelines
- Great time management and communication skills
- The ability to take initiative with projects, anticipate problems and implement solutions quickly
