ABOUT THE ROLE:
My client is looking for talented designers to join their team, I am on the hunt for mid-level to senior candidates looking for a new challenge. In this position you will deliver unique, fashion forward styles in line with the brands handwriting. You will be creative, but also be in the know of the market trends ad equally know how to translate into brand relevant designs. The role responsibilities will differ slightly depending on your level of experience.
My client is keeping the pool of talent wide, and whilst based on the Gold Coast they open to candidates relocating from interstate. RESPONSIBILITIES +
- Great understanding of the market and trends and equally how to translate into brand relevant designs
- Adobe skill set required particularly Illustrator
- Understanding of correct material selection and viability / Garment construction + annotation
- Accomplished with tech pack creation including points of measure
- Experience with spec creation and grading a plus
- Exposure to fits / fitting their own product alongside the PD
- Comfortable in a fast paced environment and able to maintain accuracy
- Sourcing materials and developing with suppliers, preferably China based vendors
- Print and textiles experience also highly regarded but again not a necessity
