Position Overview: As a Design & Production Assistant, you will work closely with the lead designer to support the creation and development of their womenswear collections. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in all aspects of the design & Production process, from initial concept to final product.

RESPONSIBILITIES +
Assist in the development and execution of design concepts, including research, sketching, and technical specifications.
Prepare mood boards, fabric swatches, and sample boards for review and presentation.
Collaborate with the design team to create and refine seasonal collections.
Support the creation of detailed technical drawings and specifications for patterns and samples.
Coordinate with fabric suppliers and manage the sample approval process.
Maintain and organize design files, sample inventory, and project documentation.
Participate in fittings, providing feedback and assisting with adjustments as needed.
Conduct market research to stay updated on trends and competitor activities.
Assist in managing the production schedule and ensuring timely completion of samples and final products.
Coordinate with vendors, manufacturers, and suppliers to track and oversee the production process.
Help prepare and review production documentation, including technical packs, specifications, and quality control reports.
Support the team in organizing and maintaining production files, including fabric and trim inventories.
Assist with coordinating fittings and sample reviews, documenting feedback, and tracking necessary changes.
Monitor production quality to ensure that products meet design specifications and standards.
Facilitate communication between design, production, and sourcing teams to address any issues or delays.
Manage logistics for shipping and receiving samples and final products, including coordinating with shipping carriers.
Support administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and preparing reports as needed.
REQUIREMENTS +
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and other design software.
Strong sketching and illustration skills, both hand-drawn and digital.
Solid understanding of garment construction and pattern-making.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a proactive and positive attitude.
Prior experience or internships in fashion design is a plus but not required.
