Our client, known for creating exquisite and high-quality women's fashion, is looking for a dynamic Senior Production Coordinator to join their team. As a Design Assistant & Production Coordinator, you'll be at the forefront of fashion production, managing critical paths, schedules, and costs while collaborating with a team that values innovation and excellence.  Responsibilities:

  • Critical Path Management: Review and manage the critical path before each seasonal development begins, ensuring timelines are realistic and key dates are noted.

  • Schedule Planning: Plan and maintain development and production schedules. Update key due dates in the Production Tracker.

  • Cost Management: Prepare seasonal costing sheets and input AUS RRP based on historical data. Negotiate style costs with factories and update costing sheets accordingly. Conduct costing meetings for RRP and margin approvals.

  • Order Management: Raise and place seasonal and recut purchase orders, ensuring timely placement with factories and confirming ex-factory dates. Check factory packing lists against purchase orders and address any quantity variances.

  • Invoice and Payment: Check and approve factory invoices, manage payment schedules, and follow up to ensure timely payments.

  • Supplier Relations: Manage and nurture relationships with existing suppliers, resolve production issues, and source new suppliers as needed.

  • Production Tracking: Create and maintain Production Tracker, and present updates in fortnightly Production Meetings. Oversee protos, SMS, PPS, and shipment samples, ensuring fit changes are noted and managed.

  • Quality Control: Monitor and address post-production faults, returns, and repairs. Implement procedures for improvements with factories.

  • Local Production: Coordinate sampling and costings with local makers, manage local bulk production, and oversee the logistics of courier packages.

 

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience in a similar role within production, ideally in womenswear.

  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of the production cycle, product development, operations, technical aspects, fabric, garment construction, and quality control.

  • Skills: Excellent attention to detail, self-motivated, autonomous, and reliable with a strong sense of responsibility.

  • Attributes: Flexible, approachable, honest, and trustworthy with a customer-focused approach. Passionate about the fashion industry and committed to excellence.
