This role is perfect for those passionate about creating high-quality garments in a dynamic and supportive environment.
About the Role:
As a Creative Patternmaker, you will play a pivotal role in translating design concepts into beautifully crafted pieces. Located in Hawthorn East, Melbourne, you’ll collaborate closely with the design team, using both advanced 3D simulation and traditional patternmaking techniques to ensure the highest standards of fit and quality for every garment.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with designers to interpret and draft patterns for 3D simulation and sampling.
Fit garments to the brand’s standard model and make necessary adjustments.
Coordinate with Technical Patternmakers and Sewing Team to ensure accurate construction and quality.
Develop and maintain block patterns according to company standards.
Update digital avatars with the latest designs and approved styles.
Assist with the development of proto and PP samples, working closely with suppliers and identifying potential production issues.
Input pattern measurements and grade increments into design development platforms.
Provide training and guidance on factory workmanship to ensure high-quality production.
Manage workflow priorities efficiently.
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience as a patternmaker with a strong understanding of pattern grading and requirements.
Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and time management skills.
Ability to adapt to new technologies and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with Style CAD and 3D CAD (VStitcher) is a plus.
Experience working with factories and a solid understanding of garment construction.
