The Company

This leading contemporary womenswear label is seeking a Garment Tech / Production Manager  to join their team during a pivotal time. The Role

The brand is seeking an experienced Production/ Garment Technician to oversee the technical aspects of off-shore garment production from initial design through to bulk production.

The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a deep understanding of garment construction, and the ability to work collaboratively with our design and operations team.

You will be joining their team in Sydney, in a Permanent Part Time capacity (3-4 Days week FLEXIBLE) .

Collaborate with the designer and creative director to develop and refine garment designs, ensuring feasibility and production efficiency.

Create and manage technical packs (tech packs) including detailed specifications, measurements, and construction details, ensuring all products are consistently sized to spec, samples are approved in line with the critical path, and the brands quality standards are clearly communicated and achieved by all suppliers.

Oversee the development of prototypes and salesman samples through to bulk production, conducting fit sessions and providing feedback for improvements.

Work closely with manufacturers and suppliers to ensure high-quality production standards are met.

Monitor production processes to ensure timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.

Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that arise during production.

Maintain detailed records of all technical and production processes.

This role is central to the smooth running of the design and production development stages including streamlining processes and quality management.

About You

A proven track record of confidently leading fitting sessions from Prototype stage through

to Pre-Production approval to bulk.

Previous experience as a pattern maker or working with development and production

patterns an advantage.

A solid knowledge of garment construction.

A history of setting and achieving quality standards, appropriate to an elevated brand.

A firm understanding of grading across Womenswear

Organised and efficient – ability to multi-task and prioritise.

Organisational skills with experience of working to critical deadlines.

Excellent communication skills with experience liaising with a range of suppliers and other partners.

Experience working within a team.

Strong office and administration skills, with a systematic approach to recording information.

Self-starter who is motivated with a disciplined approach to problem solving.

Someone who enjoys getting real satisfaction from his or her job.
